Design Statement
Combining the vision of a dreamer with a high level of craftsmanship I capture that powerful, humbling, and awe-inspiring feeling you get when looking up into the night sky. My jewelry is a manifestation of that ethereal magic in the physical world, connecting you with the deity within. To me, a piece of jewelry is not just an object, it is a strong symbol of magic, a token of love, a talisman, a bond of trust, a psychological shield, or somebody’s spirit carried with you.
My designs are made for visionaries, soul searchers and free spirits and often have the air of history about them, as if they were an heirloom from a forlorn time, a fragment of a memory, something dug up from a lost burial ground or a ship wrecked at sea.
Longevity is of extreme importance to me — I want my pieces to be treasured and passed down through generations — so I always make sure that they are of the highest quality. I also love to be innovative in the way I design, using unusual materials or coming up with new functions for jewelry.
I principally use recycled precious metals and I encourage the use of ethically sourced gemstones. Social impact and sustainability play a huge part in all my decisions and as I grow as a designer, my responsibility grows.
My deepest love is and always has been telling stories through my creations. Cinema, music, art, folklore, myths and awe-inspiring moments in nature are never far from my mind, influencing how I see the world and the stories I tell through my jewelry.
Another huge inspiration has been the multitude of cultures that exist in the world. I was born in China but raised in Sweden, and I have travelled through Asia, South America and Europe. These experiences helped open my eyes to different traditions in storytelling and aesthetics. I love getting to know a culture on a deeper level: learning the language, the customs, and the art. My journeys — both in the outer world and through my inner dreamscapes — will always inspire me.
