"This project is based on a business collaboration with the Danish jewellery company Pilgrim. The focus is on the design process and methods as well as business and brand analysis. You will have to research, implement and be inspired by a trend that will work for Fall/winter 2020. Your target group is Millennials.
You will be working in groups of 4-5 and each group will design and brand a key-collection for Pilgrim for Fall/winter 2020. You have to incorporate current on-trend alternative materials.
The key-collection has to be created in Rhino, Keyshot rendered and presented digitally in a professional brand catalogue to the company. In addition to the Keyshot renderings, the jewelry must be photoshopped onto model photos and all be presented in the catalogue with appropriate storytelling. The group will in the end make a pitch of their collection and digital brand folder to all stakeholders."
Utilizing the Design Thinking Process and based on our business and trend research, we created a jewelry collection and brand catalogue for Pilgrim. Our work consisted not only of designing the jewelry, but also the branding, the photos, the tone of the communication and the stories the chosen materials would tell.
In order to reach the target group Millennials which spends a large proportion of their time online, we created a hashtag for Pilgrim, and came with suggestions for influencers that would suit the promotion of this collection. This was presented to them at the oral pitch at the end of the project.
The jewelry collection consisted of 10 styles with 2 variations each, amounting to a total of 20 styles.
