By being observant and looking around us but also by utilizing Trend forecasting services such as Adorn Insight, we had a hunch of a trend we thought would be a fitting trend for the collection for Pilgrim. Our trend hunch was "Glacial" and we confirmed it using the DART method.
Based on this trend, we defined our Design Drivers.
Based on our previous research of the target group, we made a persona to design for.
We also made an empathy map to get to know her even better.
We gave her a Point of View.
Based on our Design Drivers and our Persona, we made a moodboard.
We also asked ourselves some questions.
We started the ideation process by making 50 sketches each, and clustering them into themes. We photocopied our sketches and then continued sketching on each other's sketches, combining them or taking away parts in a playful and collaborative ideation process.
After making a selection of which designs would make it into the final collection, we made rapid prototypes of them in paper and red wax.
The materials we chose to use are in line with the Persona and the Trend.
